NEW from summer 2026: Fuxis adventure trail

The new adventure trail at the Donnerkogelbahn mountain station in Annaberg/Lungötz combines play, exercise and stunning views into an unforgettable family experience in the mountains.

Highlights along the circular trail:

  • Milk churn play towers – climbing fun on a massive scale

  • Climbing course – An adventure to climb through

  • Marble runs – Fun along the circular hiking trail

The trail invites you to discover Dachstein West from a playful perspective – ideal for your next family holiday in Annaberg and for a change of pace during the hiking summer.

Milk churn play towers

Three towers designed to look like traditional milk churns offer you an impressive climbing adventure. Inside, you’ll find climbing features and nets. You can make your way from one milk churn to the next through net tunnels. The highlight of this XXL climbing adventure is a long tunnel slide.

This adventure station offers climbing fun, exercise and adventure for the whole family.

Climbing course

This adventure course, featuring a variety of climbing elements, offers children and adults an exciting range of physical activities around Dachstein West in Annaberg. Participants make their way from one side to the other by balancing, shimmying and climbing through a variety of stations.

The individual climbing stations are lovingly designed to feature typical winter and mountain sports elements:

  • Chairlift

  • Lift bar

  • Sledge

  • Ski poles

The climbing elements promote movement, balance and agility in a playful way.

TIP: Marble runs

As well as the climbing and adventure stations, you’ll find two marble runs along the Fuxi Adventure Trail. You can buy the wooden marbles directly from our marble vending machine at the Donnerkogelbahn mountain station for €2. Feel free to ask our ticket office staff for more information!
