For professional and amateur ski tourersAs a participant in the Dachstein West Ski Tour Charity, you are cordially invited to accumulate as many ascents and altitude metres as possible between 7 am and 5 pm – at your own pace and according to your own ambitions.
Whether you give it your all and aim for new personal bests or prefer to enjoy the day in a relaxed manner without any pressure – every participation counts and contributes to a good cause.
You can start at any time between 7 am and 5 pm. The only important thing is that you complete at least one full ascent. You can choose to make the ascent on touring skis or snowshoes – the main thing is that you enjoy yourself and put your heart into it!
The ascent is along the Atomic Backland ski touring route on the Russbacher Hornspitz. With a length of 3.6 kilometres and an altitude difference of 610 metres, this uncomplicated piste ski tour is also suitable for beginners.
The donations will be used in favour of the Licht ins Dunkel emergency aid fund. Participants can join and leave the tour at any time between 07:00 and 17:00, but at least one full ascent should be completed. For each ascent of 610 metres in altitude, € 6.10 is donated to a good cause. The money raised will be donated to Licht ins Dunkel
All participants and spectators can also look forward to a great supporting programme with music and valuable prizes as part of a raffle, because: At the Ski Touring Charity Dachstein West, it's not just the fastest who win, but everyone has the chance to win a great prize.
The registration fee included a goodie bag, a food voucher, a starter gift and a finisher's medal. Snowshoe hikers have the opportunity to use the cabel car for the descent free of charge. Late registration for the event is possible on site during the opening hours of the competition office.
